Summary: "I got what I expected"

This is a good, solid lighter. The three features that drew me to it are (1) the ignition lever is on the side and not the top, (2) it has an over-sized flame adjustment wheel, and (3) it has Xikar's famous lifetime warranty. I am very pleased with all three of those features. One significant shortcoming of this lighter, though, is that it doesn't have a fuel level gauge. And since the correct way to refuel a lighter is to bleed it first, I wind up wasting a lot of fuel bleeding the lighter and then refilling it whenever I am going to be away from home for more than 2-3 days. The addition of that feature would give it the 5th star, IMO.

Summary: "Not terrible - when it works."

When I can actually get the thing working, it's great. Otherwise, I'm dealing with constant clogging with premium fuel and flames that sputter and go out. Not the best thing to happen when lighting a cigar.

Summary: "Excellent design for a quality lighter"

I was very excited to get my Xikar Executive Cigar Lighter. The one button operation to open the lid and ignition is incredible. The single jet gets the job done very well. Overall the lighter has some heft to it without feeling bulky. This Executive lighter was the perfection addition to my other Xikar products.
